Exported Goods Clearance Procedures:
In order to encourage Sudanese exports, all exported goods are exempted from customs duties, save hides and skins, as of January 2000.
The following documents shall be submitted when exporting any commercial item:
1. Form (EX) issued by any commercial bank showing the quantities to be exported and the amount payable in accordance with the prices of exported goods specified by the Ministry of Trade.
2. Export license issued by the Ministry of Foreign Trade.
3. A valid Sale contract made between the importer and exporter.
The following documents shall be submitted when exporting fruits and vegetables:
1. The documents mentioned above in (1, 2, and 3).
2. Certificate issued by the Directorate General of Plants Protection- Ministry of Agriculture.
3. Certificate issued by the Agricultural Quarantine Office.
4. Quality control certificate issued by SSMO.
The following documents shall be submitted when exporting cattle and sheep:
1. The ordinary export documents mentioned above.
2. ………. leather certificate issued by the respective tannery.
3. Health certificate issued by the veterinary quarantine.
4. Quality control certificate issued by SSMO.
She-camel Exports:
Pursuant to the Ministerial decision No (10) issued by the Minister of Fish and Animal Wealth on 7 October 2003, 30% of the she-camel shall be exported, in accordance to the following rules:
(1) No she-camel shall be exported unless upon issuing health certificate from veterinary authorities, taking into account that no health certificate shall be issued for she-camel with the following specifications:
a. Un-reproductive female as a result of an inborn defect.
b. Old age.
c. A defect in udder or genital organs.
d. Any defect affecting its productivity.
(2) The Minister has the right to issue any exceptional authorizations in connection with she-camel for any entity and in accordance with the conditions and rules which he deems appropriate.
(3) The competent authority in the Ministry of Fish and Animal Wealth shall issue health certificate and show the distinguishable marks of such animals in order not to be obstructed in its way out to for exportation.
The following documents shall be submitted when exporting Sesame and Kerkadi (hibiscus):
1. Ordinary export documents.
2. Health certificate issued by Health Quarantine Unit.
3. Certificate issued by Directorate General of Plants Protection- Ministry of Agriculture.
4. Certificate issued by the SSMO.
The following documents shall be submitted when exporting fish:
1. Ordinary export documents.
2. Fisheries Certificate issued by Directorate of Sea Fisheries.
3. Health certificate issued by Directorate General of Quarantines and Meets.
The following documents shall be submitted when exporting scrap iron:
1. Ordinary export documents.
2. Quality control certificate issued by SSMO.
3. Certificate issued by the Ministry of Energy and Mining- Geology Department.
The following documents shall be submitted when exporting gold:
- Exporting or taking decorated gold out of Sudan shall take place subject to authorization from Bank of Sudan or Banks commercial banks.
- Departing women may take with her decorated gold worn for beautification within the limit of ten ounces (300 g) in shape of (rings, chains, or bangles).
