DGC Objectives
The DGC is
working to achieve four main objectives within the general
framework of the policies of the State:
1-
Financial Objective: This is embodied in the
customs policy pertaining to estimation, levying and
collection of customs duties on imports, exports and local
industrial production to feed the public treasury with
revenues collected.
2-
Economic
Objective: The application and execution of the
State’s economic policy in the fields of trade, industry,
investment and fiscal policies with the aim of organizing
the flow of both imports and exports.
3-
Social
Objective: Protection of social; security,
national traditions and religious beliefs by controlling
entry of prohibited and restricted goods.
4-
Political Objective: Representing the sovereignty
of the State through the control of the movement of goods
and people via all land, sea and aerial entry/exit points.
