The Mission of the Directorate General of Customs

In line with the vision of the State, the mission of the DGC could be summarized in the following:

-Facilitation of international trade, control of customs at optimum degrees of competency and efficiency and development of public revenues. 

Elements of Success for the Customs Mission: 

• The Sudanese legacy and well entrenched traditions lasting for more than a century.
• Experience/expertise coupled with modern planning know how starting in 1992
• Technical support available through international and regional organizations of trade and customs
• Competent administrative leadership and technically qualified manpower.
• High standard training institute, established since 1962, to facilitate qualification and capacity building.
